Expanding Our National Standards "Circle of Influence"

UCS Simultaneously Participates in 6 National Standards Developments

On July 1, 2026, the second plenary meeting of the 2026 session of the Subcommittee on Interconnection of Information Technology Equipment, under the National Technical Committee for Information Technology Standardization, was successfully held in Yuyao, Ningbo, Zhejiang.

During the meeting, UCS actively engaged with the expert group on six standards currently in progress – three of which have entered the approval stage, and three that are in the drafting stage. These standards cover a wide range of core areas, including industrial cabling, remote power feeding, optical fibre testing, labelling and identification, channel modelling, and MPO connectors.

UCS Deeply Involved in Three Standards Submitted for Approval

  • Information technology – Generic cabling for customer premises – Part 3: Industrial premises
    (Plan No. 20243459-T-469)
  • Information technology – Cabling requirements for remote power feeding of terminal equipment
    (Plan No. 20252525-T-469)
  • Information technology – Implementation and operation of customer premises cabling – Part 3: Optical fibre cabling testing
    (Plan No. 20253559-T-469)

UCS Participating in Three Draft Standards – Forward‑looking Layout for Future Leadership

  • Information technology – Implementation and operation of customer premises cabling – Part 201: Labels and identifiers
    (Plan No. 20263086-Z-469)
  • Information technology – Customer premises cabling – Leaky coaxial cable cabling
    (Plan No. 20263087-Z-469)
  • Information technology – Optical fibre cabling using MPO connectors
    (Plan No. 20263088-Z-469)

Continuous Commitment – Standards Driving the Future

From the three approval‑stage standards to the three draft standards, UCS is advancing six national standards in parallel. These cover a broad technology spectrum: industrial environments, remote power feeding, optical fibre testing, operations and maintenance management, channel modelling, and high‑density connectivity. This not only highlights UCS’s deep technical expertise in structured cabling but also demonstrates our sustained contribution to industry standardisation.

Mr. Cao Junwei, Technical Director of UCS Products, commented: “Standards are the crystallisation of industry consensus and, more importantly, a forecast of technology trends. We will continue to use standards as our guide, integrating cutting‑edge requirements into product R&D, and delivering more reliable, forward‑looking weak‑current cabling solutions to our customers.”
